Processors and Graphics

Razer Blade 15 comes with the 10th generation of Intel Core i7 processors, clocked at 2.3 GHz. The number of cores of base and advance models is different. The base model comes with 6 cores and 12 threads, whereas the advanced model comes with 8 cores and 16 threads. L3 cache is 16M and 12M for advanced and base models respectively. Graphics of advance model is powered with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER (8GB), on the other hand, the base is installed with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070.

Manufacturing

Both are strong aluminum unibody designs that come with three different color variations. Both base and advance models have the same shapes. Most of the gaming laptops are quite bulky, but the advanced model of Razer Blade is 0.70 inches thin, which is incredible being a gaming laptop. The base model is 0.78 thin. Both versions have a robust cooling system. Base models have cooling pipes, whereas advanced models have a vapor chamber, which makes the advanced model a bit heavier.

Storage/ Memory

Advanced models are available with up to 1TB of storage and 16 Gigs of RAM, whereas Base models are available in up to 256 GB of SSD with an additional PCIe slot. The RAM of the base model is also 16 GB. RAMs are upgradable in both models. The RAMs are upgradable in all models.

Keyboard

Both models have updated keyboards. The presentation of the keyboard has been changed especially the directional keys. The directional keys were in a weird position in the older versions, which has been rectified. The keys are flat, tactile, and comfortable to use.

One of the phenomenal features of these new keyboards is RGB lighting. Advance and base both models have RGB lighting. In the advanced models, the light of every key is programmable with the help of Synapse. Synapse is a software to manage Razer's accessories. Synapse can be used to modify the color of any key of the keyboard.

Displays

Both models have 15.6 inches edge to edge displays. They are available in both FHD and 4K resolutions, with stunning color accuracy and viewing angles. The refresh rate of the advance mode is 300Hz, which is great for gaming enthusiasts. Razer Blade 15 comes with Synapse 3, which is a software control center to control Razer's peripherals. Using Synapse you can customize lighting. Apart from that, you can adjust fan speed and even ramp up graphics performance.

Ports

Ports are extremely essential for a laptop since many laptops manufacturers are ditching ports lately. But Razer Blade comes with a whole bunch of ports.

It has 3 USB Type-A ports. Two USB Type-C ports. One port of Type-C is ThunderBolt 3. It has one HDMI 2.0b port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

There is one minor difference, the base model has an ethernet port and no SD card read reader, while the advanced model has no ethernet port but an SD card slot.

Razer Blade 15 2020 release is a high-end laptop. Aluminum unibody design makes it exceptional from other laptops. If you are into gaming then Razer is offering 2 models, Base and Advance Model. Both come with Intel's 10th generation Core i7 processors and NVIDIA GeForce GPUs with a minor difference. Since it is equipped with i7 and NVIDIA GPUs so it would not have any problem running the latest games with maximum settings.
