How to enable Samples page in Settings app on Windows 10

Microsoft developers have been consistently developing Windows 10 OS, and as a result, people often get Insider Preview builds almost every week. There is a simple trick to enroll for Windows 10 Insider Preview program from the stable version. However, if you want to use the Windows 10 stable version, but want to check what Insider Preview users are getting, here is a trick that will let you get a sneak peak of various samples of what Microsoft developers are working on.

In the Settings page, you can enable Samples page which contains all the samples of all that the developers are working on currently.

Before you begin, make sure you have your registry files backed up in a safe place, and you have created a system restore point. After that, you can follow the following method to get it done.

Open Registry Editor. For that, press Win+R to open Run prompt, type regedit and hit the Enter button. After that, go to the following path:

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel

On the right-hand side, you need to create a new DWORD value. For doing this, right-click on the empty space, select New > DWORD (32-bit) Value and name it EnableSamplesPage.

By default, the value is set to 0 (zero. You need to change it to 1 (one). To do so, double-click on it, and enter 1 as the value. Click OK and exit.

Now, open Settings by pressing Win+I. You will see a new category in this app called Samples. The Samples page displays heart symbol and says - Settings team tests and examples.

If you open the Samples page, you will find some samples of some functions:

You cannot do or change anything in the Samples page. This page is mainly for those who want to check what the developers are building. These samples may change over time whenever Microsoft will launch a new Insider Preview build.
