How To Reinstall Kaspersky Without Losing License

Do you want to reinstall the Kaspersky Antivirus, Kaspersky Internet Security or Kaspersky Total Security on your Windows PC but don't remember the activation code? Here is how to legally reinstall Kaspersky without having to enter the activation code.

When you purchase Kaspersky license on the official store or any other online store, the activation code is sent to your email address. You can use the activation code to activate your Kaspersky product after installing, reinstalling or transferring Kaspersky license to another PC.

But when you purchase Kaspersky product at a retail shop, you get Kaspersky box which includes Kaspersky CD as well as a piece of paper containing activation code.

Many users often misplace the paper containing the activation code and try to locate it only while reinstalling Kaspersky.

Luckily, if the currently installed Kaspersky product is legally activated on your PC, you don't need the activation code to reinstall it and activate it. Yes, if Kaspersky is installed and activated on your PC, you can reinstall and activate it without the activation code.

Kaspersky allows users to uninstall Kaspersky products without removing the license information from your PC. Once you reinstall Kaspersky, the setup will use the same license information to activate your copy of Kaspersky.

Reinstall Kaspersky without the activation code

Here is how to reinstall Kaspersky products without the activation code.

Step 1: Open Run command box by simultaneously pressing Windows logo and R keys.

Step 2: In the Run command box, type Appwiz.cpl and then click OK button. It will open Programs and Features window.

Step 3: Look for Kaspersky product entry, right-click on it, and then click Uninstall/Change option.

Step 4: Now, you will see the confirmation dialog. Click Continue button.

Step 5: Next, you will see Kaspersky setup wizard. Click Next button.

Step 6: When you see the following screen, be sure to select License information and then click Next button. From here onwards, follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall Kaspersky.

Once the uninstallation is complete, please reboot your PC once.

Step 7: Download a fresh copy of Kaspersky and then install the same. Kaspersky setup will automatically use the previously saved license information to activate your copy of Kaspersky product. Enjoy!
