Rhythmbox - a Gnome default music player is a free audio player that plays and helps organize digital music. It's designed to work well under the GNOME Desktop using the GStreamer media framework. How to remove the app from Ubuntu 17.04, Ubuntu 16.10, Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu 15.04, Ubuntu 14.04
sudo add-apt-repository --remove ppa:vascofalves/gnome-backports sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get remove rhythmbox
If you want to revert back to previous release, run the following commands
sudo apt-get remove rhythmbox && sudo apt autoremove sudo apt-get update
