I recently read about the Microsoft Sculpt Touch wireless mouse and decided to buy it. After using it for a while, I decided to share my experience with it. This wireless mouse can be connected to the Windows 8 PC, Mac and many Android tablets, via Bluetooth. There is no dongle which comes with this mouse and so if you are planning to use it, make sure that your desktop receives Bluetooth signal.
Microsoft Sculpt Touch Mouse Review
Microsoft Sculpt Touch wireless mouse is a portable mouse and you can use it almost anywhere without any cable, dongle or even the USB ports. This Microsoft Sculpt Touch wireless mouse has been designed on BlueTrack optical technology and thus works on any surface, except mirrored surface and clear glass.
It works on the four-way touch strip specially designed to give a smooth and quick navigation experience. This mouse is actually recommended particularly for the Windows 8 devices to support its touch friendly interface. It provides a smooth navigation around the start screen of Windows 8.
I didn't like the design first of all - it is a bit cramped. It is very small in size and I don't think it will be comfortable to work with it. It might be suitable for the smaller hand but the average hands may not find it handy. In other sense, this mouse can be used for short-term but is not comfortable for prolonged usage. There is no wheel in this mouse and neither does it have the forward and backward keys; however the central button can help you scroll up and down. As mentioned earlier, it has a 4-way touch scrolling for navigating up, down, left and right.
Honestly speaking, I was quite impressed with its BlueTrack technology at first but after using this mouse for a while, I was inclined to change my mind a bit. The Bluetooth connectivity drops occasionally. But it promises to give a battery life of around 9 months!
The Microsoft Sculpt Touch Mouse is available on Amazon for $29.99.
