Nokia Portable Wireless Speaker Overview

In a world driven by technology and innovations what seems to be cutting edge technology today is rendered obsolete within a blink of an eye. What comes as a surprise to many is though the devices are turning smaller (portable) and compact their performance is not compromised. In fact, it is improving by many folds. Nokia MD-12 Bluetooth Portable Speaker is a perfect example of this manifestation.

Nokia Portable Wireless Speaker MD-12

Nokia Bluetooth MD-12 is small and light, small enough to slip into your pocket. The device is NFC compatible so the pairing process is drastically simplified. As soon as the device is powered up, a blue light appears indicating Bluetooth connectivity. Alternatively, when it is connected to a power supply and fully charged, MD 12 displays green and orange while charging.

For charging Nokia Bluetooth MD-12, just plug the USB-based charging cable into a PC or to a wall socket via a charger adapter. You can continue using the device while it's charging. Initially, when you connect to the MD-15 via NFC or Bluetooth, you will find an 'Action Center' notification related to Device Hub. From this settings app, you can manage the device, keep a check on the battery status and find the compatible apps. Music is suspended or turned off when a phone call or text comes in and resumes when the phone call is completed. An interesting point is that answering the call on the phone, routes the call to the phone. You could tap BT to route it to the MD-12. Pretty useful in cases where you get a call but don't actually want to put it on speaker.

Most people wrongly believe portable speakers often lack the true Bass sound. That's certainly not true in MD 12 Wireless Speaker's case. The portable speaker has a built-in vibrating actuator located on the base that produces bass when placed onto a hard surface. Nokia says the tech lets the speaker create levels of bass that aren't expected from such a small device. Besides, it also has speakerphone functionality so you can use it to make phone calls on the go. The rechargeable 1020mAh Li-ion battery is claimed to give 15 hours of playback.

Nokia portable Wireless  Speaker comes in a range of beautiful colors - Yellow, Green, Orange and White. What's more, it's not limited to Nokia Lumia or wireless technologies.

There are howeverm no volume controls on the speaker itself. All volume adjustment comes via your smart phone's speaker controls.

The Nokia MD-12 Bluetooth Portable Wireless Speaker for your Nokia Lumia smartphone running Windows Phone is now on general sale for USD 50 approximately. Get more details here.
